Joseph earned a master's degree in Fine Arts from The School of Visual Arts (NYC). Since then, his work has been exhibited internationally, including solo exhibitions in New York and Los Angeles, as well as international shows like Art Basel and Scope. His contemporary gallery representations include Joseph Nahmad, Jack Geary Gallery, and De Re Gallery. He is the author of the best-selling book The Secrets of Oil Painting, and his achievements have earned him numerous awards and grants. Joseph is a working artist with over 10 years of teaching experience. In addition to his work as an artist, he has curated multiple group shows.

What will you learn?
In this robust course you’ll learn a wide range of techniques and approaches to painting, starting with the fundamentals. Because good fundamentals ARE master techniques!
Next you’ll do a series of fun, easy exercises and painting studys designed to help you practice what you’ve learned and make sure you grasp each concept before moving on. During these exercises and lectures you'll learn painting necessities like color theory, how to mix any color imaginable and how to create form, depth and ultimately realism in your paintings
And finally you’ll do more advanced exercises of increasingly difficult subject matters to help you master those skills and prepare you to grow on your own as an artist! Your final project will be a formal, gallery ready oil painting.
